Delete your Kakei account
Last updated: November 2026
This page explains how to delete your Kakei account and its data. Kakei is published by Kakei (France).
1. Never turned on Sync?
Then you don't have a Kakei account. All your data lives only on your phone. To erase it, open Kakei and go to Settings › Data › Delete my data, or simply uninstall the app.
2. Delete your account from the app
- Open Kakei on a device signed in to your account.
- Go to Settings › Data › Delete my data.
- Confirm with Delete everything.
Deletion is immediate and permanent: your sync account and all data stored on our servers are erased, the data on this device too, and your other devices are signed out. An internet connection is required.
3. No longer have access to the app?
Email us at contact@kakei.app (the link drafts the email for you). To help us find your account quickly, include:
- the account email, shown in Settings › Account & Sync (if you used Apple's "Hide My Email", it's an @privaterelay.appleid.com address)
- whether you signed in with Apple or Google
- your Kakei ID if you still have the app: Settings › About › My ID (tap it to copy)
We delete your account and all its data within 30 days at most, and confirm by email.
4. What gets deleted
- Your sync account (identifier, plus the email and name provided by Apple or Google)
- All your synced data: transactions, subscriptions, fixed income and bills, savings, categories, closed months, settings, activity history
5. What is kept
- Your Premium purchase: it is handled by the App Store or Google Play. The purchase record at RevenueCat, tied to an anonymous identifier, is kept so you can restore it later.
- Anonymous error reports (Sentry): 90 days at most, with no financial data.
- Your iCloud backup (iPhone): it lives in your own Apple account and Kakei can't access it. You can delete it from iPhone Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Kakei.
